Through the
space.

FPV drone fly-throughs for businesses, venues and creative events.

Give your audience a sense of being there. Playback Productions brings a filmmaker’s eye to FPV, creating fluid camera movement through interiors and around the character of a place. Roan Lenihan combines experience flying through buildings with FPV filming at a live fashion show.

A pilot’s control.
A filmmaker’s eye.

Roan designs, builds and flies custom FPV drones, shaping the setup around the space and the intended movement. His experience spans building fly-throughs and creative event filming.

At a fashion show, FPV footage brought another view of the event to large screens. That same approach to movement can help a business introduce its premises, connect different areas and show the experience it offers.

02 — WHAT WE CAN MAKE

SHOW THE PLACE.
FEEL THE MOVEMENT.

01

Business & building fly-throughs

Introduce your business through the space itself. Connect the entrance, rooms and key features in a flowing route that helps potential customers understand what it feels like to be there.

02

Venues & hospitality

Show the relationship between spaces, from an arrival area to the main room. A considered fly-through can give a venue film a sense of scale, atmosphere and discovery.

03

Fashion shows & creative events

Bring another perspective to a live creative environment. Roan’s experience includes FPV filming at a fashion show, with footage displayed on large screens as part of the event.

04

Brand films & social content

Use FPV as the centre of a short film or as a sequence within a wider production. Plan the route and framing around the final edit, whether it is for a website, campaign or social feed.

03 — FROM ROUTE TO FILM

EVERY TURN.
WITH A PURPOSE.

  1. 01 / THE SPACE

    Start with the journey

Share the location, who the film is for and what you want people to notice. Photos, a floor plan or a short walkthrough help establish the idea.

  2. 02 / THE ROUTE

    Plan the movement

Assess the space and agree a practical flight route, access and filming arrangements. The movement should reveal the place and support the story.

  3. 03 / THE FLIGHT

    Bring the space to life

Rehearse the route and capture the movement with a setup suited to the location. Coordinate any people or activity included in the sequence.

  4. 04 / THE FILM

    Shape the experience

Edit the selected footage into the agreed film or hand it over to your production team. Define music, finishing, durations and delivery formats in the brief.

More than
a different angle.

A useful fly-through helps the viewer understand your space. We build the route around what matters: where people arrive, how the rooms connect and the details that make the place yours.

For a wider campaign or venue film, explore brand video production. For aerial views that establish scale and location, see cinematic drone footage.

04 — PLANNING THE FLIGHT

A few useful
answers.

What is an FPV drone fly-through?

FPV means first-person view: the pilot uses a live camera view to guide the drone. For a film, this allows a flowing perspective through a space, connecting rooms and details with camera movement.

Can you film inside our business or building?

Indoor building fly-throughs are part of the service. Roan has hands-on experience flying through buildings, alongside FPV work at a fashion show. Each location is assessed so the route, setup and filming arrangements suit the space.

What kinds of business spaces can it suit?

A fly-through can help introduce venues, studios, showrooms, hospitality spaces and other interiors where the layout or atmosphere matters. Share the space and your objective so we can discuss whether FPV is the right approach.

Does the building need to be empty?

That depends on the location and the planned sequence. We discuss access, people in the space and how the shoot will be managed before agreeing the route and filming time.

Can FPV be combined with conventional filming?

Yes. It can sit alongside interviews, ground-level cinematography and other footage in a wider brand or venue film. Plan those elements together so the movement has a clear purpose in the edit.

Can you make a website film and social versions?

Yes, when those outputs are agreed in the brief. Landscape and vertical versions may need different framing or routes, so it helps to identify the intended channels before filming.

Where do you work and how do I get a quote?

Playback works across London, Essex and beyond. Send the location, photos or a walkthrough, the purpose of the film, your preferred dates, intended outputs and an indicative budget. The quote follows the space, preparation, filming and edit required.
